From Umutuzo lodge, you have access to a multitude of short, medium and long hikes.
Among these, you have:
- the "Kinunu parish church",
- the Musasa Cong-Nile trail stage,
- the "path to Magaba".

Paddle across Lake Kivu by kayak, stand-up board, or other water activities.

Arts & crafts
Visit the Inge Baho community center where you will find magnificent art objects, utensils, decorations, clothes, ... made by members of the community.
You will surely find your happiness there as souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones while helping the community.
Bird watching
Rwanda offers arguably the best African Montane Birding anywhere.
703 bird species are known from Rwanda and surprises are always possible.
Among the resident species are 29 Albertine Rift Endemics and several Lake Victoria Basin Endemics, which should be on any birder’s wish list

Rwandan Traditional Culture
The Kivu Hills Academy, based on the hills overlooking Umutuzo lodge, protects and maintains a traditional Rwandan village.
The students offer to visit it and teach you the traditions as well as the demonstration of traditional dances to the sound of drums.
Bees keeping
In Rwanda, you can find excellent 100% natural honey.
Their unique taste (without added sugar) and liquid texture makes them unique and very popular.
In the hills around Umutuzo lodge, you can visit one of these honey producers.
