Once being in Rwanda, there are several ways

to reach Umutuzo lodge.
Check it below.

By road
with rental car,
tourist transport vehicle
or taxi

From anywhere in Rwanda,

you have to reach the main road linking Rubavu to Karongi.

Halfway between these two towns,

you will come across a village called Nkomero

(On Goggle map, you'll find Nkomero Bralirwa depot).

From Nkomero, you'll leave the main road to reach Boneza sector.

You just have to follow the Umutuzo lodge road signs.

From Kigali via Musanze or from Rubavu (Gisenyi),

you can take a bus up to Pfunda tea company.

At Pfunda tea, you've to change and take a second bus up to Nkomero.

From Kigali via Muhanga or from Karongi (Kibuye),

you can take a bus up to Rubengera roundabout.

At Rubengera, you've to change and take a second bus up to Nkomero.

At Nkomero, you can take a mototaxi or we can pick you up there to Umutuzo lodge (booking before via the form below).

You just have to follow the Umutuzo Road signs.

To reach Umutuzo lodge by boat,

you have two main ways:
From the north via Rubavu (Gisenyi)

From the south via Karongi (Kibuye)

In both cases, you have to ask to reach Boneza sector.
Umutuzo lodge is located on the Kariba's peninsula in front of Bugarura's island.
